Digital Rupee is the same as UPI
Believing that Digital Rupee is the same as UPI is a misconception.
UPI is a system that facilitates real-time money transfers between banks using mobile phones. Digital Rupee, on the other hand, refers to a central bank digital currency issued by the RBI. It’s a digital version of the Indian Rupee.
While both are aimed at simplifying transactions, they serve different purposes – UPI is a payment platform, and Digital Rupee is a digital form of the national currency.
